Four thousand years ago, a plague wiped out all of humanity, save twenty people. Among these were five children, five scientists, five warriors, and five artists to tell the tale. Women and men spread equally among all categories, civilization began again. The buildings of the Timeless Age were still standing; the written laws were still in tact. But these twenty people had decided to start all over. They picked the name Aellyn to call the new world; they burned all the old laws; they tore down cities. These twenty people started the Age of Life.

This is a collection of short stories from that world, vignettes of lives in a doomed world.
