Clara Berthonnaud is the eldest daughter of a poor, struggling French businessman who, for the safety of his daughters, strikes a deal with a wealthy widow. With no choice but to leave her home, Clara must take care of her younger sisters while also attending to her new employer.
Harry Styles is a wealthy young man who is hurt by his father's passing and struggles with the direction his life has abruptly taken. Expected to marry and take over his father's business as it expands overseas in New York, Harry is reluctantly playing along. When Clara comes into the picture as his mother's new maid, Harry begins to resist everything that doesn't please him.
Infatuated with Clara despite his upcoming marriage, Harry plans to stop at nothing to make her his. There's just one other thing... everybody knows the ill-fated story of Titanic. How she struck an iceberg just a few days into her maiden voyage and sank, taking with her approximately 1,500 people into the icy North Atlantic.
