Living in the south side isn't fun, or quiet. Especially when you're living across the street from the Gallagher's. Katie has grown up, dealing with the pranks from Carl and Debbie. But when her parents decide to send her off to boarding school, she notices that Carl is worried about the five years that she'll be gone. Little does Katie know that in that time, Carl goes to Juvie and comes back with street creds that no one could beat. When she comes back she faces a challenge of making the tough guy want her. Will she succeed and win Carl over or make a fool of herself when he rejects her?

This story follows Katie through the final months of her senior year in high school. Her nonexistent relationship with her mother doesn't stop her from living her life to the fullest. Approaching on four years with her high school sweetheart and applying to the same colleges as her lifetime best friend she is anxiously looking forward to the future to come. She's also excited about becoming an aunt and is counting down the days until her older sister delivers. Her nurturing personality causes her to stop and sit with a boy being bullied in her school. He quickly opens up to her, but that relationship may become the most dangerous one yet. Rated Mature for violence & Mild Sexual Content.
