Two years after monsters return to the over world, you are walking down a street and stop outside a bar and grill. The soft warmth draws you in from the cold winter air outside. You enter and see several different monsters sitting at tables, and another standing behind the bar. You turn to leave, vowing never to stop in again. But events make that vow hard to keep...
this is the new story for my Grillby x reader. I have nothing but good feelings for this one, and I hope you guys will enjoy it like you did the last one :>

He had his optimistic, egotistical brother, Papyrus, his mysterious friend in the RUINs, Grillby, the bartender at his favorite place to stay, and many other buddies and acquaintances he'd made over time. But one day, when the friend from the RUINs makes a strange request of Sans, he couldn't help but give her his word and make a promise. However... When he sees the subject of his promise exit the RUINs- A strange, wayward, dust-covered human- Sans questioned whether he'd be able to stay true to his word. UPDATE: Uh, so, my headcanons have changed quite a bit from when I wrote this, including Sans' attitude at some points, the Mettaton NEO situation, the Alphys evacuation, and other things. The young skelebros escape from the core and head to Snowdin. Grillby finds them decides to take them in but finds out it may be much more difficult than he thought. Papyrus likes Grillby but it takes Sans some time before fully trusting him and even then there are things that he doesn't want to share. Although Sans struggles with his magic and with meeting new monsters. But, he's able to find some close friends when situations get rough. Ik my art is kinda weird but it was mostly just for fun. I'm definitely no artist. All art is still mine tho. I won't edit much here. Fully edited story on Archive of Our Own. Same name as here.
