Hullo! This is my first story to be published and I honestly don't expect it to be read. This is a random AU I thought of and wrote within five days. Five days of which I should have been studying for finals. The story is completed so I am literally just copy-pasting it here. Don't expect nice chapter lengths. The city they live in doesn't actually exist but basically it's a city like New York but when you leave the city you go to the suburbs with the forest behind it and if when leaving the city you go more towards the water that's when you hit the rich suburbs and that's where Wester Sunset is. The lake is like a beach and Wester Sunset is a hill that has a cliff that falls directly into the lake. In chapter 11 there's a map of this world. After I suddenly died I possessed the body of what I thought was an extra within a novel. From then on my life was mostly calm, though not fulfilling. Until one day I discovered I wasn't just a background figure; instead I was an insignificant character who'd end up being the villainous Grand Duke's secretary, only to die shortly after being near him! But I had no choice, it was too late to change my fate, so I decided to live as obediently as possible under the orders of the sadist villain. But I still had a plan. Even before the female lead makes her appearance, I will try in every way to make the villain a little more normal, or at least ensure that the two do not meet, so that no one will face a harsh death, including me! And then, after the villain doesn't become obsessed with the female lead and becomes more normal, I will be able to resign and live peacefully.
