Mila Lee was a total goody-good. She loved pleasing her parents with good grades and she would most definitely rather have stayed at home on a Friday night watching romance movies and eating chocolate than partying. She had a kind, loving family and a small, but cosy home on the hill upon Napier. And then there were her two wonderful best friends, Aubrey and Martha that stuck by her side no matter what. What more could you have asked for, right?
However, one day it was all torn away from her in a matter of seconds.
After a phone call from a stranger telling Mila that her parents had passed away, her [close-to-perfect] life changes. After her parents funeral she is sent away from the city she's grown to know and love, Napier, and sent to a country some would call the enemy but what should be New Zealand's best friend - Australia. Although it sounds horrible, she isn't alone. Her aunt Hazel lives there, in the city of Goldwyn.
This spring Mila's letting go, trying new things and completely changing her life. She's leaving behind her past and starting fresh.
Tanner Collins is a bad boy. He loves to party, drink, hook up and have sex. He doesn't care about anyone but himself or how his actions can affect someone. Still hurting from her mom's accident and thinking it was her fault her mom ended up dying and now to go on top of that she has to live with the dad that abandoned her all those years ago. She also lost interest in riding horses, too until she meets the three most snobby, rich kids named Madison, Bonnie, and Lucy, who think they are better than everyone when it comes to riding horses, but Rose sure doesn't think she is. Rose thinks she can beat them, so Rose challenges her and tells her that she can beat her, so they make a deal, but the one think Rose didn't think of was that she stopped ridding because of her mom's accident and that means she has to get back on a horse. At first she doesn't think she can until a beautiful grayish white mustang comes to her dad's farm, who Rose names later as Stardust. Rose finally realizes that she can do this alone, she's going to need help from her father to help her get back on and also have help from the new cute boy, Austin who's helping for his community service. At first he doesn't want to be there, but eventually finds a reason to stay. Rose has had a good life up until the day of the accident, but now she's got to face loss, and heartbreak, but she's got to learn to get back in the race. This story holds romance, family, trust, understanding the past, and conquering your fears. *Read to find out more, I know it may sound boring from the description, but it's really not. I hope you try to read it and see that it's really good, and touching sorta. So just try to love it.*Complete
