When the Harpercops' neighbors, the Newtons find a St bernard puppy and decide to keep him. The puppy, later named Beethoven, grows into one-hundred and eighty-five pounds of trouble, leading into all sorts of household mishaps. The Newton family and Harpercops though quickly fawn over Beethoven, except for George Newton, the man of the house, who doesn't want the responsibility of owning the dog. But now, Beethoven's life is in jeopardy, when a scheming vet plans to use the St bernard for a deadly experiment.

There, Kali reunites with her friends, Beethoven the big-hearted st bernard and Sarah Newton. But after Beethoven and Scooby uncover a mysterious clue that could lead to buried treasure, the whole town goes into a frenzy to try and get to the treasure first.
