Al despertar, no recordaba su nombre, su familia o de donde era. Dado que no recordaba su nombre, Joe, el oficial quién se hizo cargo de ella, la nombro "Annie" hasta el momento de descubrir su verdadera identidad. Joe también la dejo al cuidado en un hogar temporal mientras intentaba encontrar a su familia, pero no sabia la cantidad de problemas y misterios que escondía esta familia adoptiva, no solamente entre ellos sino para la misma Peridot también.
