Have you ever had monsters under your bed? For 14 year old Kara the real monster is her mom. Anger issues have been plaguing her every since her sister perished in a car wreck. Kara's dad does nothing the stop the mothers lashing out the the children and rather turns a blind eye to the situation. As Kara looks to her older brother for support and care, he shuns her telling her to deal with it on her own.
Just when Kara thinks there can't be anymore monsters in her life, Solaris shows up. At first Kara tries everything in her power to get rid of him. What happens when she befriends the extra terrestrial?

"Why look up at the stars, when the biggest star is you?" Polaris sits as the brightest star in Ursa Minor. Everyday, while the other stars of the constellation work on making their orbit, Polaris observes the Earth, wondering what'd it be like to live as a human being and find love. One being stands out in particular to Polaris. It was love at first sight. When Polaris considers traveling down to Earth just to become a human and be with her, he sneaks away from Ursa Minor and descends to Earth. Back on Earth, Ashtynn is a bit a klutz. She acted like every other stereotypical anime girl. Ashtynn was judged a lot for this, causing her to have little to no friends in middle school. When high school came around, she changed her appearance and personality. Ashtynn basically became a delinquent--she got into fights, skipped classes, and trashed school property. Everything was going "well" until her real identity was uncovered and her life went back to the way it was before...until the star boy suddenly transfers to her school. Aliens have been here before... one was left behind. Eighteen-year- old Zoe must find him and she doesn't have much time. Along with the alien, a beacon was left on Earth which when activated, opens a portal through which the aliens will return. The extraterrestrials visit Earth to usurp Qi, Earth's vital energy. Of course it does, after all, the highest concentration of Qi is found in forests where ancient redwoods grow. You might be wondering, what is Qi? In Japan it is called "ki," and in India, "prana"." The ancient Egyptians referred to it as "ka," and the ancient Greeks as "pneuma." In Africa, it's known as "ashe" and in Hawaii as "mana."
