Blood Song

Levin just wants to live in peace, but being required to bear a tattoo that identifies him as an Immortalis--a person whose body contains parasitic aliens that make their hosts crave blood--makes it impossible to fade into the background. Feared and discriminated against, Levin struggles to make a living, surviving off the meager amount of blood supplied by the government and his undercut salary.

Things have been the same for sixty years, and Levin doesn't expect anything to change.

Until he meets Dani.

Raised on dark news stories, Dani has a penchant for anything both grisly and true, but more importantly, she has an obsession with Levin, who she views as some sort of hero.

Dani pays no heed to the vicious rumors and baseless assumptions surrounding the Immortalis. But not every rumor may be as unfounded as she thinks.
