The kingdom of Umbria has been in a constant war-like stake with its neighboring states. This was never a problem; as Umbria has had the strongest army for multiple centuries. This was until news spread that their strongest opponent hired a mercenary group with the name of the Golden Dagger.
Sebastian "Bastian" Vermillion is the only son of a low ranking noble, and has been put against his will into training for a task force to fight against the Golden Dagger. Bastian has no stomach for war, opting instead to spend most of his days in his father's library. Now Bastian must find his nerve, for now he will go against the seemingly most powerful fighting force in the known world.
Edward Tillian Is the Golden Knight, and is also the leader of the group called the Golden Dagger. The only problem is that the mercenary "group" is actually one person: him. Edward was cursed long ago to never die until a foe that was worthy met him in battle. Since that day Edward has been fighting everyone that had any reputation. Edward will do anything for death; and if fighting a war alone is how to achieve that goal, so be it.
A/N: So I've been reading a lot of fantasy lately, so I decided to try my hand in it. Also I would just like to say that my primary goal with this book is to see how long I can draw it out. I saw on the internet that the longest piece of literature is almost four million words long and it's a smash brothers fanfic. I'm gonna see how far I get.
I don't own the artwork, I just googled Golden knight, so yeah.

Rule one and the most important of five: Do not kill anyone not affiliated with the job at hand, "We are Mercenaries, not murderers". Jackson, a Mercenary, been one since he was very young. He is a man that has gained, and earned, respect, to the highest degree. If someone doesn't know who he is, they'll learn. Very, quickly. So will you. So first things first I love being vague so if you don't understand what I'm talking about or something it will probably be explained later so stay with me. Secondly first chapter is complete shite, I would change it but I'm lazy and it sets up my characters so I'm not just gonna delete it. So read the first chapter for the plot and please continue to the second if you still don't like my writing then you can leave, that's all I'm asking. After passing the law to allow more Isle of the Lost kids to come and join Auradon Prep, me and the Vks go over to the island to recruit new students in honor of Vk Day. Things start to go off on a pretty good start, especially for me. In my half of the story, I age up to the point where it's time for me to get married to my boyfriend (Jim Hawkins), and to be crowned the vice Queen of Auradon. So far things are going perfectly perfect, but when the Isle's barrier begins to act strange when me and the group are busy recruiting others for Auradon, Mal closes the barrier immediately so her old enemies (Uma & Hades) won't seek vengeance on the kingdom. Despite Mal's decision, a dark force threatens the people in Auradon, and it's up to me and the Vks to save the kingdom. However, with me trying to find a way to save my kingdom, I start to get so many surprises in my way: Being crowned queen, my broadcasting royal wedding, getting into the biggest argument with Jim that might break our love chain in half, and finding out the biggest surprise for me the last minute before my coronation. With all of this racing around in my head, will I be able to help save the kingdom? Will the Vks be able to stop this dark threat/epic battle from happening? Most of all, will we all live happily ever after at all?Complete
