I awoke to the familiar feeling of cold sweat. They were always identical, the dreams. That night. Why can't I just get it out of my head? Why won't it let me sleep? It's not my fault... It's not my fault... Looking at the clock, I find it's almost time for me to get ready for school anyway, so I guess I got an adequate amount of sleep. It definitely doesn't feel like it. Ignoring my unmitigated exhaustion, I used every fiber of my being to crawl my way out of bed to get ready for school. I wish I had known I was never going to make it.

It was a normal day, until we heard those static noises. The next thing you know everyone is running out the classrooms. I can hear students screaming and running. When I step out I see bodies all over the floor. My old friends covered with blood, like a red blanket covering them. Follow as a group of students try to escape this hell. Their past catches up to them. They have to face reality and stop trying to hide the past. What they didn't expect was for the past to catch up so quickly. Lying and acting fake, is just the beginning of the past, but also torture, and rape. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ At the beginning of the story it's really bad writing. "Are you coming to bed firefly?" He says to me laying his hands over my waist joining me in looking over the city. "I want to look out for a little longer if that is alright?" His presence is demanding no matter where we are, but right now I could sense everything about him, and I try to suppress the unwanted feelings that curl right under my skin. "Firefly? About done?" He calls out and I release my hand from the guard rail not realizing that as I looked at the lights that covered the shining city with the falling fire in the background that my subconscious was thinking about how nice it would be... how relieving it would be... to just fall. True freedom. I take a step back and wrap my hands together turning around to a fully clothed unchanged man and nod once. I could see the fear in his eyes that I would, he knows if he gave me the chance... I wasn't ready for this, but I had to survive. No matter what.
