In this time period of the world, the country fell. The humans couldn't support themselves. Those who didn't have a lot of money were forced out of their houses. And with that, they were moved to somewhere. They either became an unpaid worker somewhere in the world. Those who could afford to stay in their houses didn't stay long. The need for crowded towns were needed. With everyone running away to build their own towns, someone has to be left behind. Those who would rather not have an extra mouth to feed left behind their pets. Dogs and cats were left at the house, wondering where their owner went.
The dogs and cats weren't just going to let themselves starve. That would have been a foolish thing to do. They became stronger and wiser, which helped some of them form a group. While some became stray, some dogs and cats formed a group together. They would all survive together and do everything together. It was their destiny to find shelter. If none of their pathetic past owners wouldn't do it, they might as well do it themselves. That was the way they finally thought.
Alice is the leader of the pack, leading them and helping them around. Of course, her position doesn't affect how she does everything with the other dogs and cats. Her position was picked with a vote, not by teeth, but Alice thought it would be different. When in past life, Alice was a dog that was forced to fight. She was forced to fight other dogs and kill, but now she was free. Alice knew her owners were probably dead by now, but she has the feeling something is around from her past to haunt her. With how it seems, Alice might be haunted by the one thing she couldn't stand after leaving the fighting grounds; burning flesh.

this is the new one, don't read the one one it's bad. btw pretty much everything is the same except thanks to simon (i'm adding the nightmare critters btw), i made crafty back into a unicorn and I plan to touch on that more. also the story will just be better thought out because I'm not just making it up as I go (what i mean is i was making new plot points without making an effort for them to flow smoothly into the previous ones in the last one, which is something i won't do here since i have a timeline for the story set in my head.) I also wrote out all the unnecessary characters, so now it's just the critters + anyone important to the story (say Godfrey, Elliot, Andy etc.) with all that mumbo jumbo out of the way, i hope you enjoy the new and improved smiling critters story :D

I feel like i've lost years i haven't lived-September
This story is not always going to make sense, ive been sporadically writing it for the past year ish and its more of a vent book then something to be taken seriously. Im sure between the months alot of details have been missed or forgotten, but i have tried to stay as consistent as possible despite. The full story is stretched out over a few different books. More that she can never seem to reach. Atleast, not until she meets Phil and his family, that is. Phil is a man packed full of grief. Having watched his wife die right in front of him in a devestating car accident, he found himself unsure of if he was still fit to raise his boys. Hell, Phil was unsure of alot now a days. So when he got the call asking if he was willing to take in a severely abused young girl, Phil almost said no.
