When Kara and Lena go out to celebrate Kara's front page story all starts out well but tragedy ensues. This will send Kara into a tailspin of rage. She'll need her friends and family, question who matters to her in life, reveal some of Lena's secrets, and bring Kara and Lena closer than ever before. Just when things seem to turn around, another player in the game shows their hand. Will the group fracture or pull together in the face of this foe?
This is my first piece of fanfiction, so all comments appreciated. I'm a novelist, so I tend toward the slow burn style. I build up instead of dropping off into the plot. This starts in Season 2 somewhere, as I'm just catching up on that. If folks are enjoying the direction of this, I'll keep adding chapters.

Your employees cannot pick up on your distress right now. The newscaster on the TV talked over the scene, "It looks like Supergirl is being rushed off site. No news on her current condition. Translations written: (underlined) Author's Note: This is an AU rewrite of James Cameron's True Lies 1994 Screenplay. The original was full of 90s toxic masculinity and stereotypes, so some of the behavior is out of character, but through all the angst and (quite ridiculous) action, lessons are learned and a happy ending comes together. Edits are ongoing, but the story itself is complete. Other Notes: The movie's lead bad guy was a Syrian extremist, but I wanted to use characters from Season 6, so I went with an ancient cult out of South America instead. Also, I always think of National City as being in California, usually around San Francisco whereas most of this movie was based between DC and the Florida Keys...
