Sasha is an African American living in the projects. Her mother is abusive, and a drunk. Her dad left, and took the only good thing about her life, safety. Her dad always protected her, even from the bad people in her neighborhood. After all this Sasha was depressed, but then one day she found her passion and her distraction from all of this, ballet. Sasha told her mom she liked it but her mom told her no she needs to find a more realistic job, but she didn't listen. Now how will Sasha tell her mom that she got into one of the most popular schools, Julie arts?!
