Sara has always known what's good for her. She knows her place, where to stand, and who to be. That's just what she's always been taught. Now she is burdened with a mistake of a night that never should have happened. After the unexpected birth of her daughter Rose, nothing is ever the same. Her boyfriend left her and denied any connection to their child. Ever since she's turned eighteen all she's ever wanted to do was leave the town that only brought her down. The only thing holding her back is her little one year old daughter. Growing up in a white Christian town in southern Minnesota , she has everything against her. Her parents don't trust her, her friends are gone, and everyone looks down on her. She finally gets a chance to escape when a newcomer comes into town, willing to change everything and take her away from everything she's ever known, but freedom comes at a price.
