"When are you going to fall in love?" Virginia asked Conor, trying to look at him through the top part of her skull. He was trying to do the same.
"I can't even fall asleep most nights, and you're asking me to fall in love?" Conor joked.
"But what if you were already in love and they didn't know it?" Virginia shot back, biting her lip.
"Oh, I think they would know," Conor said, a sad twinge to his voice. "And maybe that's why they can't fall asleep."
