Marie: I am 14 and an Adventist girl. I am best friends with Ellie and honestly, pretty average. However, I have a huge crush on Joseph that could become a problem. I don't know why though. If I love him and he loves me, why should our age get in the way?
Joseph: I am 24 and trying to finish school. I haven't had a girlfriend in years because I am so busy but often I am lonely and there is something about Marie that draws me. Maybe because I have been alone for so long or that we go to the Austine church but if nothing else I want to protect her. Her and my sort-of-little sister, Elle. Her man lives with my family right now but he is trouble.
Austin: I didn't grow up in the church and I have made a lot of mistakes in my life but I want to be better. I know that i could be a good boyfriend and protector for Elle if Joseph would just give me a chance. I am going to turn my life around and prove myself if it kills me. And maybe I'll even give the church thing a shot.
Mrs. Dorothea: I have lived a good long life and am nearly 70. I grew up in the church but my life wasn't easy. I have lived through love and loss ever since my brother passed away when I was 12. Things still aren't easy but without hardships we can't live and grow into the people that we are to become.

I was raised as a Christian and I believe that God put everyone on this earth for a mission. It's nice to know that mine is special. Maybe Too Protective
We reached the hospital and Ryder, still being gentle, jumped out of the car. Zach opened the doors for him and they rushed inside the emergency room. "We need a little help." Max asked the nurse at the table. SHe seemed a little bit annoyed. "Sir this is the trauma center. If you have an emergency that can wait...Oh my gosh." She spoke once she looked at me. "Dr!" She looked at a blonde woman walking by. "Yes?" The woman walked over with a smile on her face. The nurse pointed at me. "Over here." She lead the guys to a hospital bed that they laid me down. "If it means anything, she has panic attacks." Ryder explained. "Page Shepard." She told someone. "What's her name?" "Lucy." Ryder told them. Then, light people around me became blurs, than darkness. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Maybe you had some high school bullies, but I hope they weren't like Lucy Smith's bullies. Lucy Smith is entering into her first year of high school, going to school with her best friend and four out of her five older, protective brothers. Being part of the Smith family gives her some different effects on the the guys around her and some people don't take too kindly to that. Have you ever had one of those terrible yet annoyingly pivotal moments? You know, that monumental fragment of time that flips everything you have ever known. That plot twist second that completely takes you by surprise. The one just before the storm hits and everything goes to hell. Yes? Because you see, that moment happens to be my whole damn life. It wasn't always like this though. I used to have a pretty mundane existence, happy to just get good grades and be around my friends. God I wish I could get that simplicity back, I'd never complain it was boring again. But I know I'm not going to ever get back my old life because well... I died. (Kinda) But I woke up. And I was thrilled, beyond grateful I wasn't dead. But then I realized that there was one minor detail that had changed about my reality. I was given the chance to live but it turns out I woke up as the villainess in an otome game my friend used to be obsessed with - Kingdom of freaking Hearts (I added the freaking in there for effect, it's just Kingdom of Hearts) Where, for the record, the villainess only has two possible endings 1) execution and 2) getting exiled. So Fate was like, "Don't worry, I'll save you. Here's a chance to live" and then was like "psyche, screw you. You're still going to die but I'll let you suffer a little first." So now, if only to annoy Fate by proving it wrong, I am determined to survive. I can and I will if I play by these simple rules: 1) Befriend Heroin 2) Avoid Aryn Edwards at All Costs as well as other capture targets And 3) Be the top student at the academy and become an invaluable asset to my Kingdom so I become indispensable, thus unkillable. I'm determined, stubborn, persistent and I will live passed 16. Fate made a big mistake setting me up to die. Since it threw this plot twist at me, I figure I'll return the favor. I'll be the biggest plot twist Fate never saw coming...
