As far back as Cali can remember she only knew of a handful of truths. One, the world she lived in was divided into two factions: the Gentries and the Dockers. Two, a four mile high wall that housed Betas within, separated the two groups quite efficiently. And three, while one side worked hard to scrap together a meager existence for themselves, the other flourished in the lifestyle like that of a king.
Or so she had heard.
As a Docker, she would spend most of her life never running into any one of the Gentries. The factions never mingled together, never associated with each other, and no one ever crossed the wall. The Gentries were the dominate class of the species, comprised predominately of Alphas and Betas while the Dockers leaned more towards the submissive side.
So when word of an outbreak among the Gentry population spreads, Cali couldn't help feeling a little smug about the whole thing. Why should she care if they were plagued with some disease that would cause them to go mad and thus feral? They didn't care about any of them on this side of the wall, so why should she care about their problems?
So when the biggest, bad ass of alpha on that side of the wall needs to find a cure from his recent illness, he'll do what he has always done and get what he wants. Even if that means kidnapping an omega and forcing her into an unbreakable bond in order to stop the progression of the disease within him.
Life was already a dog fight before they came for her. Now she'll have to get even stronger in order to survive the brutality, the corruption, and the emotional manipulation the other side of the wall has to offer.
Note: This is currently a part of a project to weed out writers block. It was evident that while I have momentarily stumbled on a chapter of my recent story, my list of story ideas continues to grow longer. I will be writing several starting parts for various stories and continue to finish those stories that gain the most popularity.

He narrowed his gaze, "You arrived here yesterday. You can call me Kingston. You're my chosen thus you're my equal."
At the mention of him choosing me, anger flared up and I scoffed indignantly. "You chose me? You didn't. You blackmailed me to be with you!"
Kingston's eyes turned hard and he warned, "By drinking the potion, you have agreed to be my chosen."
I scoffed and glared up at him, "Because you threatened to kill my brother. He's fifteen! Would you really do that? Kill a fifteen year old to get what you want?" I demanded and Kingston simply looked at me with a passive expression.
