I was shocked. Heart pounding. My feet felt as if they had lifted off of the ground and I was floating to him. Someone had to punch me in the face before I walked in here and I was dreaming about all of this right now. Because there was no way Connor Wilde is doing this for me in front of the whole school right now.
"Reese Covington, will you please be my date to prom?" That's all it took for me to realize I wasn't dreaming. My heart fluttered with excitement. I ignored all of the statements everyone said in the crowd after, because we were the only two in this auditorium right now. And right then, I knew that these past three months had been real.
Reese Covington isn't a geek. But she isn't popular either. It's the middle of her junior year and it's been normal up until December when the teen pop star, Connor Wilde shows up. And when he chooses her to be his partner for a particular project, her world comes crashing down. She thinks that he is just like every other stuck up rich person in this world, nor does she like Connor and wants nothing to do with him. And he's aware of this which he likes about her.
