She hadn't meant to see, not really. It was a classic wrong place, wrong time scenario. But that didn't matter to him. What mattered was that she did see. And she was, to put it in the simplest of words, completely and utterly fucked.

"I'm just a nerdy witch!" I cried. "Why can't you just leave me alone?"

 He grinned sadistically, crimson eyes glowing. "Now where's the fun in that?"

I gulped nervously. "Feeling like a good person?" I suggested hesitantly.

For a second he actually looked like he was considering letting me leave the library in one piece.

Then my phone rang, blaring out my ill chosen ringtone. "Kill all your demons, oh kill all your de~mons!"

I could feel his stare burning a hole into the back of my head.

I laughed nervously. 

He smiled, pulling out an obsidian knife, tipped with red. 

"I'm going to enjoy this."
