The main character fell for a popular boy in their high school. For multiple months, the main character has been hiding themselves from this boy, Tal, because they've been scared of what Tal may think of them. After a while of waiting and hiding, Tal finally notices the main character and automatically falls in love with them; they had love at first sight. Slowly this major change affected the main character, their everyday life, and experiences they haven't had before. Their friends leave them and the main character is left with Tal and a few of his friends. It all started my sophomore year of high school. The first symptom that struck me was the constant headaches. I was easy to brush it off since I had been overwhelmed with before and after school activities. More activities meant more coffee to poison the pain of maintaining my reputation.
