Frisk had left the Underworld after the barrier was broken. She needed time to clear her head and figure out what she wanted to do in life. After a couple years, she misses her friends greatly and decides to visit. However, some new feelings arise when she sees their human forms, especially a certain skeleton's.

Yet the monsters still struggle to find their place within the world. Most accept the monsters, but there are those who wish nothing more than the complete annihilation of monster kind. Merely sealing them away is not enough. As ambassador for the monsters, it is Frisk's responsibility to fight for everyone's right to live on the surface. But at the same time, an internal battle rages on within her. Not only that, her relationship with Sans is strained. Trust is not so easily regained after the slaughter of one's beloved, despite it all being erased. Or was it really?
