A story about a trashy girl from a trashy neighborhood with a smart head attending a school for other intelligent people and being the talk of the school whilst doing so.
Valerie Atkins was 17-years-old and in her last year of high school when Todd Watson entered her life.
Todd was a smart man, a proper man, a working man. And Val was just a girl, making her way, getting by with what she had. Todd was clean, and smart, and Val was lucky if there was hot water before school.
Todd was the best and the worst thing to happen to Valerie and to Northbrooke High School. It was all so Bittersweet.
"I'm Todd, but that's Mr. Watson to you, Ms. Atkins."
Many people think teenagers are all crazy. It's also a common belief that all millionaires are eccentric.
Neither of these things are considered to be particularly untrue by Todd. Then again, Todd is the teacher's pet. Also, no one actually asked him, probably for that exact reason.
This is the story of how the one person who so efficiently embodies both the crazy-teenager and eccentric-millionaire stereotypes barged into Todd's life and made himself right at home.
Two additional bonus chapters available on the Lacey Grace Library.
