It's the year 2498, and the world has found itself enraptured in a dystopian society enforced by a worldwide totalitarian government. In the world's quest to define the perfect human being, a compartmentalisation system was developed, one that separates the desirables from the undesirables. In doing so, the government plans to identify the successful traits necessary to create the perfect human being. But how can a human possibly be perfect if they are not allowed to express emotion?
Reagan Peterson and Barrett Harper are due to attend their first reaping ceremonies to be sorted a society suited specifically to them. With Reagan's disregard for empathy, and Barrett's abrupt, brash nature, they're both in with a good chance of making one of the top desirable societies. But what will happen when love is thrown in the mix? Will everything they've worked so hard for simply fall apart?

But they are also magically powerful, and the King of Rosas knows this. The great sorcerer King Magnifico founded Rosas with the sole purpose of harvesting this power. His people, when they turn 18, give him their wishes in exchange they get to live in a safe, beautiful, and prosperous kingdom completely for free. And once a year, a lucky citizen may have their wish granted, returning back to whole. However giving up a wish is a difficult thing. It's like taking away a part of your soul, leaving behind an empty gap no material object will fill. Asha, a 17 year old girl who has yet to give up her wish, watched as this emptiness consumed her grandfather. A post-apocalyptic w|w romance story. America in the year 2265 is not the America that it used to be. The entire world is facing severe overpopulation and there's no way to stop it. However, the government decides to fight overpopulation by executing any legal adult who commits a crime. Paid your taxes late? Dead. Stole a loaf of bread from the grocery store? Dead. Had more than one kid? Dead. However, anyone under 18 that commits a crime will be jailed instead of killed and has until their 18th birthday to prove their innocence or they will be killed as well. That is, until this year. The rules have been changed. Instead of just accepting that your fate is to die, all prisoners that turn 18 within the year that have not proven their innocence can choose to fight for their lives against every other criminal. The last one standing will be freed and have their records wiped clean from any crimes. There's just one small issue. With Rowan's 18th birthday coming up just two days before the games start, she decides to fight for her life as it's the only way she has a chance of surviving. The issue is that Rowan as been in love with Wren ever since she first got arrested and now they are both in the games together, destined to kill one another. Their alliance can only last so long. Before the fall of Earth humanity built a great colony ship, ten thousand of the colonist left Earth for a hundred year journey to Gillespie. They came from all over the Earth leaving a planet knowing they would never see another in their lifetime. The Ark is a rotating cylinder the size of a large island with its own train system. It's divided into three main sections, the city, the framlands, and the Lowers. The people are divided into three groups as well, Uppers, Middles and Lowers. Uppers are made of elite scientist, Astro-crops, bureaucrats they made up about 3% of the population. The Middles are are the farmers, the guard, teachers, doctors, the food processors, clothes makers and of course the mechanical maintenance workers. They make-up the 97% of the 10,000 counted citizens. The lowers are criminals and children born to un-paired parents. They live separated from the middles and Upper. In lowers you work in water reclamation or in one of the fish farms that supply protein to the ship. In the year 2149 Dylan De Rovia is trying to wrap her head around the idea that in two year's she'll be paired. That they call marriage on the Ark. Pairing is good most who are paired do end-up staying together because while genetics play good part in determining a match so does personality. Some people choose to use spend this time having a good time with as many partners as possible. Dylan however, vowed that she would never fall in love with anyone before pairing. The universe had other plans however, when Dylan learns that she'll pair with an Upper named Kyive Sinclar life gets more complicated than ever.
