THE NEW LIFE, THE NEW ME - an Apple Loving Individual Thriller
Set in the year 2046, in Houston, TX; a time where robots have outperformed humanity, most jobs are automated or performed online, physical shopping ceases to exist, and also the time where man only works 30 hours per week as full-time. A young woman, Kimberly Perkins, recently is kicked out of her boyfriend's house. She works hard day after day every Monday through Thursday as a bookkeeper at a huge financial institution. Catastrophe strikes as one day, Kimberley is notified that she was terminated from her job, as a result of technological automation, and is down flat nowhere. Finally she lands a new job online, in a virtual reality simulation, but later uncovers with the help of a young man, Jake, that the company she works for could be a central hub for shady, underground, secret activities. The worst part is, people have disappeared under strange, unknown circumstances. Only person she can turn to help at this point is her estranged twin brother, who stopped talking to her years ago. As they try to uncover a huge conspiracy, the three realize, they may be next on someone's hit list.
