Her Conscience
Star is a different type of girl. Ever since she got detached from her divorced, emotionally unavailable parents, she's been filling up her quiet, lonely world with music and dancing. She's practically a musical prodigy at 16 and music can't possibly be taken away from her. The only people she's ever been really close to are her psycho, over enthusiastic bff's. They're the only people she can tolerate anyway. That's until one fateful day when she meets a cocky, narcissistic, though really cute guy at her favourite fro yo shop who gets under her skin for just being himself. She absolutely detests guys like him. Absolutely gorgeous, frustratingly charming, cocky as hell and shockingly talented at music. That's right. Star discovers that this seemingly unbearable guy loves music almost as much as she does and just that single fact makes her heart soften a little so she lets her guard down for just a tiny bit. But after that one moment that she decides to let it down, she realises that she can't get it back up again. Junior year was going pretty well. I was having so much fun till the start of second semester. Now instead of this life I had planned for myself. I was sitting in a hospital room staring out a window, with who knows what kind of toxins being pumped into my body to save me. People walked out on me. People walked into my life. Silence
No one notices. No one cares. No one asks. ... I'm just a normal girl. School is getting on my nerves most of the time, but that's normal. I don't have a lot of friends like everyone else. I guess I'm living a life like everyone else. Everone else also thinks that. They think im a normal girl living a normal life having friends and a great family. But in reality, I just try to survive. I try not to drown. I try not to lose the fight I have within myself. I fight every day. With myself and, more importantly, with the most important people in my life. The people who gave me everything, but it's still not enough for me. I want to get out of this. Apparently I'm also not enough for them. I mean why would they do so many things that hurt me if they would like me? I don't think that this can go on forever but I also don't know what to do about it. ... !Spoiler! Hi, my name is Mia, I am 17 years old and still currently in that dreadful thing called school. When I was about 11 years my parents, my sister and I were In a car crash and my sister and I were the only ones that survived sadly. My sisters name is Taylor and she is 21, she is engaged to a guy named Damen, he is very sweet. So when they get married I will be moving in with them but for now Taylor and I live with my parents's best friends, Lilly and Jake. They have looked after us ever since my parents died. I go to school like every ordinary child but ever since my parents have died, everyone treats me like I have a disability and that I'm special, but not in that kind of good way, it gets annoying sometimes. Mostly just the teachers take pity on me but not the students that's for sure. But then there's the people at my school that bully me, and that's the majority of them, I have one friend and she has been my friend forever her name is Rosie, she is more on the wild side of life and there is never a dull time in her life.
