"My head suddenly began throbbing. I felt my heart leaping into my arid throat as I held onto the wrenching pain with both of my hands. It became arduous to breathe as every second dragged by. The house started trembling and shaking. Glasses were plummeting onto the creaky ground, then shattering. I thought it was an earthquake. "

While tortured and held captive as a prisoner of war, she became my reason to keep breathing. The force that fueled my will to fight. To survive. When I woke after the rescue to discover the life I thought I was coming home to was but a figment of my imagination, hallucinations brought about by pain, desperation, and isolation... it nearly broke me. Fifteen years since I first lost her, at last, we have a second chance. Holding her in my arms, finally feeling the warmth of her skin as she melts under my touch, is like a dream. She and her two little girls are now as essential to my existence as the air I breathe. However, just as things start falling into place, the universe steps in, threatening to take it all away. I used to think that choosing her cost me everything I'd ever loved, but now I see that in choosing her and her children, I have the chance to reclaim all that I lost. They are my salvation. My true path to redemption. Which is why I'll leave no stone unturned, why I will scorch this world to the ground if that's what it takes to save them. And when I do, I will fight to convince her once and for all they are meant to be mine, just as I was destined to be theirs. In the Broken Redemption Series, one man's vow to protect the woman he lost becomes a battle between redemption, forgiveness, and the kind of love that refuses to let go. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This is Book 3 of Lucas & Emilia's Broken Redemption arc, the emotional conclusion to their story. For the full journey, start with Book 1: Broken Vows.

"Black looks good on you, Acacia" My breath hitched as I gradually turned around only to see Damien leaning against the door, smirking at my lingerie-clad figure. His hands tucked deep inside his pockets, his shirt slightly unbuttoned. His thumb playing with the wedding ring on his left hand. A mischievous smirk settled on his lips. A horrified scream left my mouth as I yelled, "D-Damien! Get out!" I covered my chest, almost frantic but he doesn't want me sane, he is driving me crazy! Damien chuckled, lowly, swiftly locking the door, walking closer to me as I moved back, knocking my hairspray down to the ground. His arm wrapped around my bare waist as his hands traced down my back, picking me up and placing me onto the countertop. "Damien, stop" I whispered, lowering my gaze as his fingers slid my strap off my shoulder before his lips trailed down my neck, softly breathing on my sensitive skin. His slender fingers gripping onto my hair, gathering them into a bunch My hands resting on his bare chest before I moved them to his collarbone and his neck. 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑵𝒊𝒄𝒆𝒔𝒕 𝑷𝒆𝒐𝒑𝒍𝒆 𝑨𝒓𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑺𝒄𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒔𝒕 𝑾𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝑻𝒉𝒆𝒚 𝑺𝒏𝒂𝒑 They say the nicest people are the scariest when they're angry. But Hellenics? They put that saying to shame. Forged by Maelstrom, the 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞 𝐒𝐚𝐠𝐚, Hellenics were shaped as near-perfections of the Primordial Deities-beings of unparalleled might. Over the centuries, their reputation became legend. The men? Killing machines. The women? Torture artists. Some dismiss these claims as myths, arguing that divine lineage alone doesn't create monsters. Time passed. People forgot. The world moved on. Until today. What happens when someone so kind, so easygoing-someone who never lets his anger show-𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐬𝐧𝐚𝐩𝐬? Even if it doesn't last long... who knows what damage will be done? Was it trauma? A trigger? Pure, unchecked rage? 𝘖𝘳 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘴𝘦? Because there's a truth people often forget: 𝒀𝒐𝒖 𝒇𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕 𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒅𝒆𝒓 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒏 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝒘𝒐𝒖𝒍𝒅 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒇. And that's exactly what happened to 𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐃𝐞𝐦𝐢. But unlike most, Demi isn't just anyone-he's a 𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐜. A descendant of the 𝐆𝐨𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐖𝐚𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐫. So tell me... What do you expect from the bloodline of a war god? Surprise, surprise. Even a bird has claws. And a bird, once upon a time, 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘢 𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘰𝘴𝘢𝘶𝘳.

Thresheld

106 parts Complete Mature

My life is a series of thresholds that I overcome through poetry. Love, loss, pain, regret, humor, irony, word play, and even sarcasm are as much apart of my life as they are central to my poems here. I am Thresheld. UPDATE: It's been quite a few years since I started this book, and it has become rather prolific. I am currently working on organizing my poetry to make it easy to navigate. For now I've posted my recommendations and a few favorite shorts. Feel free to check out anything here there is no order you need to read in and there isn't any separation of emotional content so who knows what you might get. Anyways leave a comment, pretty please :3
