My first poem in three years. Talking about something I've been dealing with lately. I am losing my hearing in one ear. I have been (predominately) teaching myself American Sign Language (ASL) off and on for most of my life, but lately have been trying in earnest to learn for a number of additional  reasons. There also isn't a lot of social events for Deaf and Hard of Hearing in my area. It has boiled down to that I think I'm supposed to help change that.Todos los derechos reservados

I'm different, I can read and see what people think. Every moment of everyday... it's not normal. I've been this way for too long. Ever since I saw my best friends dad die in front of my own two, once blue eyes. My now gold orbs, seeing the world for what it actually is. Vent poetry It's frowned upon putting your heart on your sleeve with such a weak code like a three number pin. For both of our sakes I hope you aren't the type to spend your time digging your claws in and working to decode someone else's words and emotions. Then again I also hope you aren't the type who frowns upon free verse. You'd be surprised how many people don't see the point of it if it doesn't rhyme. Just relate to my words and not my emotions and you will come out fine.

I started writing poems because I had to get my emotions out in some other way and poems helped because I got a deeper meaning from them and had to put lessons I learned the hard way in my writings. I feel as if these were meant for those who could under stand my pain and anger at those who did me wrong. I don't care what you think about my writing because it's part of me and this is how i'm choosing to show you who I am. I was bullied. I did have my heart broken. I have came back stronger. My life has changed and so have I. I'm ready to take that stand.
