Tamara lives in a small town in central Indiana - the third that she and her adoptive father Roger have inhabited over as many years. Two years ago, Tamara was frozen as a sixteen-year-old when she was turned into a vampire. Two years ago, Roger saved her from her cruel father vamp. Two years ago, Tamara's life was destroyed. And she can't seem to let go.
Now, Roger is forcing her further into her depressive state by sending her to the worst hell he could imagine: public school. Tamara struggles both with making friends and ignoring her vampiric urges. Matters are made even worse when Tamara meets Jordan, the school's resident bad boy, and quickly starts falling for him.
