Once Upon a Dragon

Marissa is the last dragonet on Earth and has lived a life of protection. Protection from the outside world, other shifters, bruising or scraping her knee, and even herself. Marissa longs to be free and go into the outside world, but if something were to happen it would spell nothing but death and destruction.
Helix was always told to get what he needed and then get out. He always lived by his motto of not getting attached to anything or anyone. He was ruthless on the battle field but craved the love and affections of the mate he had yet to find. However, as the alpha of the 3rd largest werewolf pack in the world, his personal needs would always fall second to the success, well-being, and safety of his pack and the werewolf species as a whole.
One day, while the fate of the world hangs in the balance, the two meet and instantly feel the attraction to each other. However, with their personal responsibilities and the pressures of their societies handing on their shoulders, their love will be put to the test. Together, along with their closest friends (and others they meet along the way), they will fight against the dark forces that threaten to destroy everything they have ever known.
Will their love endure the test of time or will it be torn apart and trampled on? Will they defeat the dark forces plaguing their world or will darkness overtake the world with its ever encompassing shadow? Will they be torn away from each other by the cruel fates or will they reach their happily every after?
They may have not lived in a fairy tale, but their story will be told for generations to come.
