We stand, hundreds of us along the river, shivering with fear. Then slowly we all join hands and raise them high into the air, all of us united, pointing to the heavens. That's when the first shot goes off and the first person tumbles into the river which was one clear and glistening, but is now stained red with the blood of one of our own. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I've written this because I think it is important that people realise the horror that the Jewish people faced so that it will not be forgotten and so that it will never be repeated. When I first heard about The Holocaust the shock that I felt was one that I have never felt before, I was always wondering how anyone could destroy another life so carelessly so I came up with this story to represent that not all of the Germans may have done this massacre and to make people realise what happened and how terrible it was.
