All Aspen wants is a change of scenery and a long earned break. A break from what exactly? Reality. Living in a small town in the middle of nowhere definitely has its perks. Like what, you ask? Well, for starters everybody knows everybody, so that makes them your family. Er- that's about it. Everything else about small towns sucks. There's even a negative about the positive! Since everybody knows everybody that means they all know your business. Who's dating who? Who got a divorce? Who slipped on their front porch last night? You get the jist.
Aspen has put up with small towns for 20 years and you know what? She's sick of it. She graduated high school at the age of eighteen and was planning on attending New York College of Art and Design- That is until her mom got diagnosed with lung cancer. So she did what she had to do, got a job and enrolled herself in the local community college. Her mom insisted that she go and fulfill her dreams but with Aspen's father not in the picture and her mom's parents dying when she was little, she couldn't leave her mom to herself. A few months before she turned 20, her mom passed away. Aspen was- is devastated but her mom made her promise to not waste her life away. So, Aspen's taking a break from reality and moving to a bigger city. What bigger city, you may ask? London. Moving states wouldn't satisfy her needs, so instead she moved countries.
Once she moves, all Aspen is wanting to do is get an art degree in Interior Design- pushing away reality so she can live her dream. But, how can she push reality when it smacks her right in the face? Literally. Meet Vytas. The definition of hardcore reality. Will she push him away because what comes with reality is brokenness, or will she screw the dream and go for it? Aspen is torn, because what she does know about Vytas, is that he has a lot of baggage.
