An Unexpected Moment
... that changes everything Sarah was starting her junior year of high school. Looking at herself in the mirror, she saw a pretty average blonde haired, blue eyed, teenager. She was neither in the popular group, nor one of the many cliched outsiders. Sarah was a nobody. She liked to blend in and lay low. It was her way out of not only this town, but her house. No one knew it, but her father was a high functioning alcoholic that often took his anger out on his family. With her older sister now in college, it had turned to her more often. Laying low in general was a good strategy. Across town, Ryan was prepping for his final year in high school. While he wasn't the stereotypical quarterback of the football team, he did fit into the popular crowd. His sports of choice included basketball and soccer, either of which might line him up for a scholarship next year. Ryan had a group of close friends and a lot of adoring acquaintances. It wasn't easy juggling his athletics and keeping the grades up, but he was just that good. The supporting parents didn't hurt either. It might be a cliché romance, but it will be fun to see what the year and beyond holds. ------------------------------------------ This is a story I wrote years ago, or at least partially wrote. As I transcribe it here, I have tried to update it a bit and give the characters/story more depth than what I had when I was younger. Hopefully it all gets pulled together!Complete
Locked Eyes
{completed} They say opposites attract, the good girl + the bad boy. The grumpy + sunshine. She's intrigued by his eyes, maybe it's because they share the same colour of eyes or it's because the way their eyes lock and they can't seem to look away. She's an aspiring nurse with a dark past that she can't seem to forget or run away from. He's annoyed with her, every inch of her but her eyes draw him in like a wimp wanting more, he shouldn't want her. She's too bubbly and loud and rambles a shit ton but he can't stop looking. He's an aspiring engineer but is setup for a different path which includes his messed up family. Harvey is a quiet, shy, and extremely talented eighteen year old boy. He never really enjoyed speaking much, he usually lost himself in thought. At his school he's either bullied or completely ignored by the students, the teachers don't help him at all either. Its as if everything is working against him. Though he began getting used to it. It was pretty normal for him at this point. His parents are always out working only coming home a few times every couple of months. He's always had lot of free time growing up due to this. He learned how to do many thing. He'd play his dad's guitar, he'd read, dance, sing, and even learned how to cook. He's extremely talented in a range of skills and hobbies. But no one knew this. Two years ago they moved due to work. His parents got an offer which would require them to change locations. He transfered schools. But things only got worse. On his first day at Winterlake High he began crushing on one of the students. It was a guy named Liam. He's one of the popular student. He's tall, outgoing and very attractive. He has everyone and everything in his grasp. He can do whatever he pleases at school. He began bullying Harvey on the second day of his arrival. It became more violent in the recent months. What could be the reason for this? How will the school react to Harvey's wide range of skills and talents?
