Before Avril Mahariel joined the Inquisition, she played a huge part in the Grey Wardens!
The blonde elven woman of the Mahariel Clan is a Dalish elf whom constantly aches for adventure. Adventures in which she's often accompanied by her childhood friend, Tamlen. However, when one of their explorations goes awry, the young elven girl finds herself being rescued by a strange man, later finding out his true identity.
Wicked and tragic events take place in her life, but she never imagined herself in the predicament she's stuck in now. She must leave her clan behind to join the Grey Wardens in order to save her own life. Little did she know, the world is on the brink of war.
In a seemingly helpless and destroyed world, Avril meets friends and allies, as well as enemies, who show her that not everything is as it seems. She must now hang up her Dalish lifestyle so that she can piece the world back together. Question is, will she be able to do it in time?
***This is a work of fanfiction, the main storyline as well as a majority of the characters belong to the creators of Dragon Age. However, my thoughts and ideas are embedded within this book. I have also added some characters whom aren't at all in the Dragon Age games.***

book 1: Three Grey Wardens
I want to preface this with a warning this was written/is being written with the assumption that the reader has played dragon age origins if you haven't then you really should great game. (Not fully beta read, we die like tamlen) ________________________________________ we follow the story of dalish huntress Athelya Mahariel, human noble Aurthur Cousland, and Alistair Theirin in their journey to save thedas and fight the blight. (All of them having "A" be there first initial was not intended) I DO NOT OWN DRAGON AGE ALL RIGHTS BELONG TO BIOWARE. I only own my oc's Aurthur cousland and Athelya mahariel This is my first time writing, so please, I really need your guy's criticism and tips, so definitely leave a comment. Our hero's are: Aurthur cousland, a warrior who uses a claymore (the sword, imagine if I just gave him a mine for a weapon) Aurthur is a good natured man who tries to solve confrontations without violence and is the unofficial negotiator/trader. An incorrigible joker he's lawful good/ chaotic good to use dnd terms. He hates inequality with a passion. Athelya mahariel is a closed off for a little while but mostly kind dalish hunter she uses a bow and a dagger kukri to be specific (ikr how original), she is the group's leader/provider and she doesn't get humans sometimes, she is neutral good. Alistair is my own opinion on how he acts, and so are the other companions. My goal with this story is to tell the main story and the dlc's of each game who knows I might even be done by the time veilguard comes out (I won't I suck)
The Perfect Dalish (Completed)
Mariah was a "perfect" Dalish elf. She never got into trouble or left the clan and she was learning to become the next Keeper. Before she turned 20 she got the courage to go into the Korcari Wilds. Every night she'd run off and come back the day after at night leaving a note saying she'd be hunting. His floppy, silvery hair and misty blue-grey eyes give off a dark mysterious aura, matching the past that he has. However, the dual wielding assassin just might meet his match in a Tevinter mage, none other than Dorian. Her long blonde locks and emerald green eyes might give off the image of innocence, but Sammie finds pleasure in dark magic, despite the warnings she gets about the aftermath of such magic. Sneaking off to fulfill her dark desires was much simpler before Hawke, a suave and confident companion at the least, became entangled in her life. Dalish scribe Avril finds that speaking to those with authority is practically impossible. She would rather hide behind her curly, dark blonde hair and a book rather than be dragged out to where a fight is being held. But can Solas, a fellow elf, bring her out of her shell and remind her of her glory days? Or will old flames get in the way of everything? Can a series of life or death adventures bring a group of individuals closer together?
