"Listening shows that one cares. I listen, yet no one listens to me. So why why should I care? The thing is that I listen because I know how it feels to seem worthless and don't want anyone to experience that."
Joy Sullivan has everything anyone might wish for, with the perfect family, stellar grades, and awesome friends. But not all that shimmers is gold. Underneath the perfect facade lays dirty truths that Joy is forced to keep to herself. With these secrets deeply hidden in her, she starts to rot with self loathing and makes harmful decisions risking her safety and future. All looks bleak in her world until she meets the school's new student councillor who changes Joy's opinions and keeps her from walking the road to destruction. Although progress is being made, she can't seem to overcome the reason she ended up in this situation in the first place. Would Joy ever get used to having someone just listen?

Soul's Palette is a gripping, emotionally charged story about healing, identity, and the people who either lift us up or hold us back. Ren has always been different-he can see the true nature of people's souls, a gift that has made him both admired and misunderstood. Known for helping others find peace, he buries his own pain beneath the weight of everyone else's struggles. But when he meets someone with a shattered soul, something shifts. For the first time, Ren finds himself drawn into a connection that challenges everything he thought he knew about love, trust, and his own ability to heal. As Ren begins to fall for the person he's trying to save, an old friend's jealousy threatens to unravel everything. Nikitas, the one person who has always been by his side, refuses to be left behind. His resentment forces Ren to confront his past-memories of a family that shamed him for who he is, a society that doubted him for his race, and a love he was never allowed to claim. As their friendship fractures, Ren must decide: will he continue carrying the burdens of others, or will he finally face the pain he's spent years avoiding? Blending themes of trauma, resilience, and the illusion of healing, Soul's Palette is a deeply introspective journey about what it means to grow beyond pain. With vivid storytelling and anime-inspired emotional depth, this book explores the duality of influence-the people who help us heal and those who hold us back. In the end, true healing isn't about erasing the past but learning how to move forward with the right people by your side.

"She's right! She's right! I don't cut in the right spot." My hold tightens on my wrist. The red blood oozes out of my wrist. I slide up and grab my bag and run out of the bathroom. I don't care if people can see the blood I just want to get out. I race for the doors and shove through people. I earn a lot of glares and glances that read "weirdo." I ignore and push. I run to my house and lock myself in my bathroom. I don't bother closing the front door cause I don't care if people come in to kill me. I grab my razor and cut deep cuts into my arm and wrists falling into a pool of my own blood. • • • Evangeline has a great life. Friends? Check! Good grades? Check! Loving family? Check! How can an innocent twelve year old deal with these problems? Will she keep on facing these problem till the day she breaks. Her school burns down forcing her into a different school to meet different people and she has to fit into a different lifestyle as well. Meet Evangeline. Now at 17 years of age in a new high school. Not all girls anymore. No uniform. Meet Drake. Your classic bad-boy. He just moved to Saint Abigail high school. He is assigned partners with the quiet, calm, unnoticed Evangeline. As time progresses he finds that she isn't as happy on the inside as she is on the outside. Can he save her? Or is it too late? • • • Some rude language. Depression and cutting. Don't say I didn't warn you. Okay, I wrote this at the start of this year (may 2016) and I had very poor writing skills. This book hasn't been edited and the whole idea is cliche so I wouldn't recommend you read it but I'm not stopping you, either. Read at your own risk. • • • Copyright © 2017 by -moonlust. Just Me Against the World by FLoriannManuel

Lara has always lived in the shadows, convinced she isn't enough. The world feels overwhelmingly loud, too vivid, and far too big for someone like her. She hides from attention, avoids risks, and sees herself through a lens of self-doubt, her flaws magnified and her worth invisible. Life in the background feels safer, even if it means missing out on connection and joy. When a group project pairs her with Nathan, her confident and charismatic classmate, Lara's carefully guarded world begins to shift. Nathan exudes ease and charm, surrounded by friends whose laughter and effortless connection make her feel even more out of place. Yet, his quiet kindness and surprising attentiveness draw her in, challenging her belief that she doesn't belong. For the first time, Lara begins to wonder if maybe, just maybe, she's not as invisible as she thought. As she spends more time with Nathan and his friends, Lara slowly starts to open up. Their warmth chips away at her defenses, but it also forces her to confront her fears. She struggles with feelings of inadequacy and questions whether she's truly deserving of the attention and affection she's receiving. Her growing feelings for Nathan only intensify this internal conflict-can someone like him really see her as worthy, and more importantly, can she see herself that way? Encouraged by her steadfast best friend Bea and Nathan's quiet support, Lara begins the painful but necessary journey toward self-acceptance. It's a battle fought not against others but within herself. She starts to realize that her worth isn't defined by perfection or others' opinions but by embracing who she truly is. Lara's story is one of identity, courage, and breaking free from self-imposed limitations. It's about stepping out of the shadows and discovering that the hardest battles often lead to the brightest transformations. Will she claim her place in the world or retreat to the safety of the background?
