It is not the rise that defines a man, but rather how he falls. Is it graceful? The push that sends him over and tumbling into the endless abyss, was it worth it? Then will he rise, or will he just be food for the buzzards? Lark is, in many ways, a survivor. She has never known her parents, but in this way she is much like everyone else in Gotham city. Funerals are more common than church processions, but somehow she continues to find time for prayer. It is not in an alter though, her faith rests in the Batman, the vigilante who disappeared some years ago after the death of Harvey Dent. It is only after an unfortunate bombing where she is the sole survivor does she realize no one is going to save her, so she decides to save herself instead. She became a force and as so was met with an equally strong opponent. In some ways Lark's encounters with the Joker are a mark of tragedy, but in many more they are matters of fate. Sometimes they can be considered the same thing. //Very dark Joker/OC story. No "I love you" mushy-mushy shit. Very bloody and twisted. The timeline will be a mix of post TDK and comics, but TDK Returns will not have happened, though Bane and other similar villains will exist in this. No Bat-fam, mentions perhaps but none canon.
