The authorities always spin the story so the person who did the actual killing is on the bad end of the argument, she's noticed that. They never even stop to wonder whether or not the person who did the killing was, oh... trying to save their own life, perhaps?
She doesn't understand why they always make her out to be the bad guy. Yes, she's stolen a few things, and yes, she's killed a few people, but she always had a reason. The people she's killed are worse than she is. La Chatte Noire never kills without reasoning, without justice. Unfortunately, the authorities don't like vigilantes so much, and her reputation of thieving precedes her.
But for some reason she doesn't understand, he doesn't care.

She liked everything about him, his pale skin, his tall figure, his sense of humour (quite slightly absent though), his crimson ruby eyes, his black-jet hair. Everything. At first, the servant thought of her as a naive and weak woman. He was wrong. It was all a mask she used to hide her real identity towards the society. Whom would've believed that her family was one of the most searched Mafia gang in all Normandy? --- This is not a Sebastian X Reader book, but feel free to picture yourself as the protagonist. There was young girl who was studying to ballet who went to a traveling fair. Her group was guided to a tent that had "The Devil's Child" in a cage. The worker took the bag off the poor boy's face to show the his face was deformed. The boy being around the young girl's age. The worker began to beat the boy as everyone laughed and had fun. Everyone but the young girl. Once the show was over, everyone started to leave, including the young girl. But she stopped to look back at the boy only to see him strangling the worker from behind with a rope. She hurried over and help the boy out of the cage as an angry mob started, calling the boy "murderer". The young girl hurried out with the mob following. She went over to the Opera House and opened a secret entrance for the boy to enter before running to the doors and went in. She made her way below the Opera House and found the boy where she left him and grabbed his hand, dragging him further and hiding him from the cruel world. This young girl was me. Roxanne Daae.
