This is exactly what it sounds like. It's what could have been. But this time it's personal. It's what I could've had. Each chapter is me explaining what we could have been if I wasn't afraid. If you never left. If maybe I was a year older. If maybe we tried to go on that date.
It's what could have been a happily ever after.
But it's what could have been. It won't ever happen. Not now at least. And, honestly? Not ever. I hope you're happy, love. But this never happened. It never will. This is what could have been. It's what I wanted, I hope you know that.
What could have been us, turned into you and me. What could have been I love you, was goodbye What could have been this, became a dream. I hope you and I meet again to make it What Could Be, I hope we make it.
But I know we really won't.
