Gemma Berring, lovely and eccentric daughter of the late Mr. Berring and the stepdaughter of Mrs. Berring, is living in Hell. She's rich, yes, but after her father dies her stepmother's real personality comes out. Although Mrs Berring has no daughters of her own, Gemma can't help but compare her to the Evil Stepmother from the Cinderella tale. She gets placed in an asylum after claiming a shadow took the next door neighbor's son. Once in her cell, after nights of depression and ill-treatment, the Shadow comes for her. She's brought to a land of beauty; beauty that might just not come from the island of Neverland. But when her safety is compromised by a mysterious visitor, Pan must do all he can to keep Gemma safe.
