Waking up in what appears to be a strange swamp, running a high fever and staring down the fangs of a wolf was pretty bad. Sad to say, it actually wasn't the worst way Ariana had ever woken up. Not that she could remember much of anything very clearly. Ariana finds herself in a cold and dark world, where, other than her new furry and feathery friends, there seems to be nest to no animal life. What is this place, and why was she here? Struggling to survive in a world where even the air she breaths is poison is pretty hard, but Ariana is nothing, if not a survivor, and now, with the goal of saving as many lives as she can, she had a reason to live again. My hand slaps against my mouth as I try to shut myself up. Don't make too much noise...or he'll hear you. A vehicle's door opens then slams shut. I don't hear footsteps...but as the minutes go by I begin to hear them; the footsteps get louder and louder and louder, matching the sound of my thundering heart. That's when I see his shadow cast over the ditch...over the place where I tried to hide. "Well," he says with a smile in his voice. "I wonder where he could've gone...the footprints stop here...so I wonder if he just...disappeared?" My body begins to tremble. I can feel it now. The pain. I can feel the pain already. He jumps down into the ditch...he stands directly in front of me, with his back facing me. My hand presses harder against my mouth as I try to suppress my whimper, but it's way too late now. But his body tenses up when he hears it. He laughs bitterly as he turns around slowly, and his eyes cut through my camouflage easily. "There you are."Complete

It was Friday night or Saturday morning I think. But I was was awoken by some snoring. It was loud. I thought it was my broken alarm clock that made a deep alarm but when I opened my eyes I froze. Next to me I saw a huge Black thing that was furry and had huge crooked sticks pointing to the other side. It took up the whole other side of my room. I quietly shuffled out of my bed, put my foot on the carpet and tried not to make noise. My door was closed so I tried to open it but it made a creak. There were two neon green lights glowing. At me. The creature then switched positions and stood up which made move backwards. It moved closer. There was no more room. I fell to the floor. It came to my face.Complete

I float calmly, eternity surrounds me, I speak no words, but I hear my voice in all directions. I feel my head, it's wet with blood. I feel my stomach, the same. I am dead. I reach my hand out, but I do not feel his grip embrace mine. I look in his direction but he is not there, mere darkness, no blackness, no... there is nothing. I am nowhere. I float alone, in my ears ring melodies that sound familiar but I am sure I've never heard. I feel my identity fading. I float alone, surrounded by infinity. I am free, but I have never felt so trapped. What am I remembering? When did I get here? How many times have I been here? I open my eyes.

Have you ever walked outside at night? When it's so dark and you can't see a thing at first? I often do that and I'm never afraid. Because I know that after a while my eyes will adjust to the dark and I will be able to make things stand out. I'm always safe. I always know where I am. But not today, it was so dark, all I could see was a suffocating darkness around me. Aria my wolf huffed in annoyance when even she couldn't see a thing or couldn't pick up a scent around us. 'Ophelia, what's happening?' she muttered. 'I don't know' I whispered back aloud. The words had barely left my mouth when I heard something running quickly in our direction.
