Being alone is a fate no one wants to bare. So we put on masks, break walls and destroy boundaries. Stamping a smile on our faces day after day, hiding the deep underlying sorrows that haunt us in our darkest moments.
For Chelsea Marren this darkness seemed to be her only comfort, from tipping the scales of her sanity.
Five years ago Chelsea's mother died, and her estranged, abusive father and his new wife suddenly became apart of her life. That was the first moment she realized she didn't belong at home- that she was alone there and didn't matter in her father's life anymore.
In her sophomore year, she met Blake Nelson, a seemingly sweet, nice guy that filled the hole her mother's death left. But the more she tried to fill the hole the more broken and poisoned she became with every passing moment. Blake ended up doing more harm than good, taking advantage of her fragile state for ulterior motives.
Rumors spread and she was scorned and disgraced by everyone who thought the rumors true.
Fighting depression alone-family, friends and the one she loved the most abandoned her when she needed them most.
But wait.
That's only half the story.
This is based on a true story:
All the names and places have been changed but the story remains the same.
