The Reason Behind Her Poem

Ignoring it proves futile, for it persists,
A longing that deepens with each tender twist,
Like petals unfurling in the morning sun,
My heart's desire cannot be undone.

I tried to ignore the feeling, yet it grows,
Like a gentle wind upon my face, it blows,
A blush that rises, unbidden, warm and bright,
As thoughts of you dance through the night.

Your presence, a balm, a sweet embrace,
It fills my soul with joy and grace,
But in the quiet of our shared space,
I wonder if love finds its place.

So close, yet the question remains unsaid,
Does your heart echo what mine has pled?
For in this bliss, so true and bright,
I long to know if our hearts unite.

Beside you, blissful moments unfold,
Yet my heart, in whispers bold,
Asks silently, in its tender way,
"Do you feel this too? Can you say?"

Summer fades away,
I know you're not here to stay,
Yet forever grateful,
You made my summer unforgettable.
