Val starts the story off by telling us how much she misses the best friend, Cherry, she lost to suicide then begins to go off into her story. 
   Cherry was bullied all through her freshman and sophomore year of high school by the same group. One day the group desires a to pull a deceitful act. They invite best friend Val to hang out with them and it kills Cherry. Not literally yet at least. Val slowly becomes like them and developed the attitude gets guys to notice her and soon forgets who she was. 

   Cherry is left in a dark place with only her and her thoughts. Soon she cant handle the pressure and does the unthinkable. Ends her own life. Then uncovers and new issue. Her suicide note, which causes trouble for the group and Val.

He's toxic, he's manipulative, he's mean, but somehow she's attracted to him. Of course neither wants to admit it though. I don't endulge in romance like this it's just fun to write. This is also a slow burn. If you're impatient and want character development fast this book isn't for you. I want to keep this story as realistic as possible and people changing their ways overnight isn't. I also just love books where not everything is sped through and you really get to know the characters and their habits.
