I will be chronicling my own version of Zombies, Run. My Runner 5 ran away from Mullins Base in search for a safe refuge from the people who know her secret. She snuck onto the Supply Run cargo plane that's supposed to go to Abel Township. The plane gets blasted out of the sky and Alex Carter, you know her as the heroic Runner 5, has to try to survive in this new world. She meets Sam Yao and the other members of Abel and tries to keep her secret by telling little white lies to them. But, as we all know, little white lies become bigger as Alex's past comes to haunt her. Will she be able to handle the consequences of running away? Or will it harm those who she begun to trust and protect around her?
CAUTION: This story has themes which may not be suited for young readers. Will contain strong themes of blood, gore, zombie apocalypse general stuff, etc. etc. Read at your own risk.
This is as I'm going through the runs. I wanted to put the stakes a bit higher for Runner 5. Hope you enjoy my version of the story. Don't know if you consider this an AU (Alternate Universe) story or not.

The Lure of Adventure - Sam Drake x OC
*This is a super slow-burn romance fanfic. It features a straight Original Character pairing with Sam Drake. The timeline of this story will be split in two, with the first half covering Sam and Nathan's time at the orphanage before catching up with the plot of A Thief's End in the second part. The Walk
It wasn't supposed to be like this. All I wanted to do was get on the train and head out to the first day of the rest of my life. School finished, degree obtained, a new job waiting for me, therapy going well. That's how that morning was supposed to go. But it didn't. Instead I'm thrust head first into a world I never wanted to take part in because I'm mistaken for someone else. A EMP goes off in Inverness station, set off by a terrorist group after strange black boxes, with one of them now bio-linked to me. Along with the box is my guide, Charlie, who is supposed to lead me to safety, keep me away from the Burn tell me where to take the box. But the more I travel, the more I realize there's more to all of this than I could possible realize, and what's worse, there's more to me than I realize. Memories long lost come to the surface, making me question what's real and what is just a concoction of my own twisted mind. With each step of my journey, I wonder more and more just what this box in my hand really does, and who I really am. I fear the answers I'll find. Book 3 in the in To Be A Runner series. If you have not read books 1 and 2, I seriously suggest you do that before continuing or you will be really confused. Missing friends, a new enemy, a secretive company, and many new discoveries. Yep, that sounds about right. It's been four months since some of the Abel residents left our walls, and in our search, we've been fruitless. Until now. With the help of a new friend, we discover more about Diana and Comansys, and what's happened to our people. That's the main priority-finding our friends, finding Maxine, finding Caleb.
