She pisses off nearly everyone she's come in contact with, and is armed to her neck with sarcasm and wits. 

And she hates clichés with a fiery, burning passion. 

So when Landon Parker, the school's bad boy is assigned as her partner for a Biology project, Alex is immediately thrown into a world filled with what she hates most, a high school cliché.
