She pisses off nearly everyone she's come in contact with, and is armed to her neck with sarcasm and wits.
And she hates clichés with a fiery, burning passion.
So when Landon Parker, the school's bad boy is assigned as her partner for a Biology project, Alex is immediately thrown into a world filled with what she hates most, a high school cliché.

It's easier to protect her family when she isn't afraid of hurting people's useless feelings. She will do anything to keep her twin brother Oscar, and her best friends Simon, Valentina, and Samantha safe and happy, even if it means she's slowly destroying herself. But then Cameron Hugh comes along in her senior year, and at first she absolutely despises him.
