Chapter one of a kinda sorta novel that I'm writing. It's about a girl, Miranda, who's on the run from the person who killed her sister, and her best friend, Phillip, who ran away from his abusive mother. They're living in San Francisco, separated from any family they used to know, until what can only be described as a twist of fates sends them down an ever-steepening spiral.

An edgy Christian drama novelette. Jerry has problems. A few years ago his pregnant mother died. His Dad has reduced himself to a drunk. Dad gets violent when he drinks, which is all the time. Jerry decides to run away, but ends up destroying another family by taking all of his anger towards his dad out on a stranger. How will this all be reconciled? This version of the story has been through an edit, a title change and a cover change. It's a much cleaner better version of the story. I've published the first 3 chapters.
