Lovino Vargas is a songbird, meaning that he lives in the underground society. One day, out of sheer curiosity, he goes outside. That's where he bumps into Ludwig Belischmidt... A  catcher. 

Ludwig Belischmidt is a catcher. He doesn't want to be one although, thinking songbirds should be free. But, number one, his family has a generation of Catchers and ,number two, needs good pay and wages. He hangs around in a forest one day before bumping into a songbird. 
That songbird being Lovino Vargas.
