Imagine a world in which you have someone that is destined for you. This person can be of any age, gender, and race. You don't have to love your soulmate, though many end up doing so.
In this particular world, you can tell your soulmate by drawings on the skin. When you draw something on your skin, anywhere on your body. It appears on your soulmates body too. and it goes away when you wash it away. Though tattoos and scars don't appear to show up.
So, when your soulmate is basically your enemy. It can get a bit annoying. Especially for Alexander Hamilton, who can barely stand to be around his soulmate for a few minutes.
