This is the original version of Asphalt Knight, 3 years in the making. It is currently 40 parts long and unfinished, and I do not intend to finish it, as a I am currently working on a full rewrite. This is up for nostalgic and historical purposes, and no one is permitted to finish this.
The year is 2065. The roads are ruled by autonomous cars, while the world is managed by a corporate controlled world government. Street racers, the last people who understand the secrets of the automobiles of our time, hold illegal races in the dead of night for honor, money and power, managed under the watchful eye of the mysterious Racing Authority.
When financial trouble hits Michael and his twin sister Michelle, they enter the world of illegal street racing in hopes of paying the bills, only to get dragged down a rabbit hole of organized crime, corporate espionage, and cyber-terrorism.

But wait a minute, this is in the 1990s, and what's happening during that time!? Of course, Touge Hashiriyas, or simply, "Mountain Racers". Why Japan of all places? We don't know for certain, but somehow, Lance's father had a history of racing back in the days... And he drove a Mazda RX-7. Read-on as Lance and the others not only face some unexplainable events, but also some romance? Supernatural stuff? And obviously, the intense car battles. (This is my first work, so don't expect it to be perfect.)

His luxurious life style has made him arrogant, selfish, and desperate to feel something real. Angela's sweet spirit makes it impossible for Damon to shove her away like he does with everyone else. It's a new thing to him, having someone care for him, and it's unwelcome. His self destructive tendencies fail to work on her and eventually start to fade as he learns how to accept love and grow to love others. Damon helps Angela learn a valuable lesson of self respect and the need to set firm boundaries with those you love. He guides her through her hardest moments, while also struggling through his own problems. Angela prefers to stay quiet rather than fight people for what she wants, but through Damon she learns that sometimes it is important to stick up for what you believe.
